We're Red Moon Custom Tattoo & Piercing, and we're a premier tattoo and piercing shop in Chicago Ridge, IL. We've been established since 2011 and we're backed by the credibility of returning customers in the community. John already knows how I feel about him and his work and how beautiful I think it is. I'm not trying to be a suck up but I really won't go to anyone else. It's been 2 years almost to date. He's done all my tattoos you'd never know it's been 2 years since I got my first one or the 9th one that he just worked on today, if I didn't know any better and if it was somebody else i would be like are you sure because they both look like they were done in the last few days? I mean you wouldn't even know the difference between the the two on both my shoulder blades one I got in January which that photo has been posted for months already, it was the Jonas Brothers logo. And the butterfly that I just got today. I have CP so yes I have a spasms and they do get worse when somebody's near me especially with a tattoo gun but even with my spasticity he's still really good you can't even tell that I had multiple spasms during both tattoos sessions. That's how good these are in between my blue heart that he did almost 2 years ago and tonight they still look like all nine have been done within the past few weeks versus nine over the last 2 years.

We're looking for a Body Piercer to join our team!

We do require you to have a passion for tattoos and piercings. We're looking for someone who will be able to educate our customers on the importance of aftercare, as well as provide them with full transparency about the process of getting a tattoo or piercing.

Do I need to make an appointment, or do you accept walk-ins?

We recommend booking an appointment to ensure availability, especially for custom tattoos or specific piercers. However, walk-ins are welcome when time permits—feel free to call ahead to check!

What should I do to prepare for my tattoo or piercing appointment?

Please arrive well-rested, hydrated, and having eaten a meal. Avoid alcohol or blood-thinning medications beforehand. Wear comfortable clothing that allows easy access to the area being tattooed or pierced.

How do I care for my new tattoo or piercing?

Aftercare is crucial! You’ll receive detailed instructions after your session, but generally, keep the area clean, avoid touching it with dirty hands, and stay out of pools or direct sunlight during healing. Contact us if you have any concerns.

What is your age policy for tattoos and piercings?

You must be at least 18 years old for tattoos. Minors may be eligible for certain piercings with parental consent and proper ID. Please call ahead to confirm what’s allowed and what documentation is needed.
